Kullman's Turkey Creek Top Shelf Gin JH "Ginger"

Ginger is our beautiful, 55-60 pound Fox Red Labrador Retriever from Turkey Creek Labradors in South Dakota. She is our current Labrador breeding prospect, chosen for her excellent pedigree and health. We are committed to producing dilute-free puppies with Ginger, ensuring the rich, vibrant coat colors that make Fox Reds so special.

Ginger is one of the most DRIVEN dogs we have ever had. She aims to please at whatever she does and hates to disappoint her handler. She also is very alert at all times; the slightest sound and Ginger is sure to let you know! She has a keen nose when it comes to sniffing out downed waterfowl or a ball lost in the yard, and an energetic drive to retrieve ALL DAY LONG if we would let her.

Ginger received her AKC Junior Hunter (JH) title in the fall of 2022 (she was 11 months old). Ginger had a bit of a rough start as she went into heat during the hunt tests for HRC. This required Ginger to sit out for the remainder of the HRC Started Hunt Tests. Ginger trained throughout this and then went 4/4 on the JH tests. What a phenomenal way to make a comeback, Ginger! We hope to further develop her skills in the blind and on the water, as she has an absolute LOVE of working. Ginger also possesses a beautiful natural point, though she doesn't hold it for long, so you have to be quick to catch it! We plan to refine this skill in the years to come.

Beyond her working abilities, Ginger is a wonderful family dog. She has a fantastic 'off-switch' when she isn't retrieving, and our daughters love to snuggle up with her. Ginger, in turn, loves to shower our girls with all the kisses she can. She is also very much the protector of our yard, barking to notify us of anyone driving by or entering our property. While protective of our family when needed, she is also stranger-friendly, especially if they offer belly or butt scratches or treats!

Ginger loves car rides and catching a wave of fresh wind through the open window. She prefers to sit shotgun or will continually try to make her way to that seat to see out the window.

We plan to breed Ginger in 2025, which will be her second litter. Her first litter, though unplanned with a neighbor dog, revealed her to be a wonderful and protective mother. We are excited to see her in that role again.

Depending on her heat cycles, we may also pursue additional titles to further highlight her exceptional qualities. We see lots of potential with her and her future puppies in the hunting world, as well as, with any walk of life that her puppies may be exposed to.
